burning for emails

I have had maybe the craziest week of my life. Things have gone wrong in ways I could never predict. I don't even know if I should be writing about this on my blog because some of the things (at least half) I do not want to share to the whole world. But just now, when my computer started acting possessed, it topped it off and I just had to vent.

It all started last week Friday when I sent out an email from work. It was a warehouse sale flyer that I sent to all our customers (probably about 400-500 people). I sent it out at 9:45 am and as we finally found out on Monday, it caused our server to freak out and send it over and over again to everyone! We had someone come in on Friday and try all day, all weekend and all Monday to get it to stop. Nothing worked except for shutting the server down. Every time we brought it back up, with would start back with a vengeance.

When all was said and done, some people received up to 600+ emails from me.

My inbox and phone were being flooded with replies, comments and concerns. Some people were nice, some not so much. And yesterday someone told me that they "hope you burn for it." Nice. I don't know about this guy, but the God I believe in doesn't send people into eternal damnation for accidentally sending out hundreds of emails. Actually, I don't even think the God I believe in would send someone to hell for sending out hundreds of emails on purpose! And in case you're wondering, no, he wasn't joking. Fun, eh?

So on top of that and other work stresses, including right now where my printer will not print for no apparent reason, I have had to deal with stressful situations at church, at home, with James' family and with mine. I feel so tired.

Do you sometimes wonder if you are being attacked? I mean, in a very spiritual way. That's how I feel.

On another note... I received my etiquette book on Friday (yes, dark bad email friday). Needless to say, I have not looked at it. But it looks great and I certainly still intend to post some great tips!

Another positive thing: my co-workers have been absolutely great, supporting me through everything here. I am really blessed in that area.

Hope you are all doing well!
:)
