my how time flies
You don't realize how fast time goes until you look at your blog and over two months have gone by. Then you go to login and don't remember your password anymore! Sorry it's been so long!!
What's been keeping me busy? Renovations!! First we recarpeted our two main floor bedrooms- here is a before and after pic:
After the bedrooms were done we started on the kitchen! We're gutting the whole thing and are drastically changing it. The reason for this decision was twofold: 1. the renovation was desperately needed. 2. in order to free the office up for the nursery we needed to create another space for the desk, computer, etc.
Here's one picture after we tore the plaster off. You can see inside the wall there is NO insulation!
I will post more before/after pictures once the reno is done. We were originally hoping for end of April by now it's looking like the middle of May if we're lucky. Hopefully it doesn't get too close to June 22 because we won't start the nursery until the kitchen is done!
James has been working like crazy to get this done, doing almost all the work himself. Yay James! Thanks for all your hard work!
Other than renovations, we're still keeping busy running the youth program at our church. It's going well, but I have to stay I am pretty excited for a change of pace next year.
Anyway, that's all I can think of to say for now. I will try to post again soon.. and for those of you wondering, can you believe I haven't taken one pregnancy picture of me yet? I'm at 30 weeks and no pictures! I will try to take one and post it soon!
Love you all,
bob

Okay you two no excuses, stop reading this and go and get the camera and take a picture of Bob's tummy. I want to see this pregnancy in progress! It sounds like life has been busy and that you will be glad when the baby arrives. Life slows down but it is definately a different pace(a lack of sleep pace). I wish you guys lived closer so that we could come and see your place and help you get your renovations done, I hope that we will be able to see your beautiful baby girl soon after she is born too. We are heading to Sask. in July for a family visit and we were thinking of getting Erich to take a few weeks of Mat. leave and then go all the way out to Manitoba and visit you guys and all the rest of our Manitoba friends. We'll see if we can get the time off and our finances together. I'm praying for you all and can't wait to see those pregnancy pictures!
hey, you guys are pretty ambitious -- can't wait to see all you've done. actually I was looking at the kitchen wall and trying to figure out if it was inside or out -- that's crazy!! glad to hear you're enjoying youth -- i know you're making a difference in those kids' lives. I could see how much they love you when I came for ultimate last year -- who the heck is "bob" anyways?!? ;-)
